1. How did you come up with your MC name?
-An acquaintance of mine gave it to me in 1993, meaning before...to do things artistically prior to other artists/rappers etc.
2.Did you grow up listening to any MCs/rappers that influenced you?
-Yes...All the greats! Run DMC- Slum Village
3.What or who inspired you to rap?
-Run DMC & Big Daddy Kane probably influenced me the most to want to really start and focus on rhyming.
4.What do you hope your listeners will get out of your music?
-The message of love and self respect...., and thru hearing me i want them to know that i love what i do.
5.What is the most difficult thing you've had to endure in the music business?
-The Integrity of my art & soul, i wasn't willing to compromise those things.
6. What do you see for your future in music?
-Well, growth in the way the essage and vibes are delivered. In other words elevate from mainly focusing on vocals to playing live instruments. I love music so much, I always want to be involved on some level.
7.How did you meet up with the Handroidz and Lady T and what projects are you working on?
-I had already heard of the Handroids thru the internet blogs, but i finally was introduced to the Handroids through a mutual friend i had worked with in an Acid Jazz band in the mid-90's.
8.How would you define the "social consciousness" element of hip hop culture?
-I would define it as the 'root' of Hip Hop, because this culture has always been based on the awarness of the people. So socially the underlying theme is to be 'conscious and express how you feel constructively and as positive and upbuilding as possible. "It's all about the good vibes".
